Simple Shipping Terms of Use

Simple Shipping is a shipping service provided by JadoPado. The service connects sellers with some of the world’s best carriers providing them with pre-negotiated pricing and tightly-coupled integrations to enable global shipping with ease.

The service uses information about your product together with your shipping origin to automatically generate the best shipping rates and transit times for your buyers. When a buyer places an order, do the 3Ps: Pick, Pack, Print your shipping documentation and then schedule a pickup with the carrier, who will deliver directly to the buyer.

By using the Simple Shipping service, you agree to the following Terms of Use:

1. Carriers Terms of Use

By using the Simple Shipping service you agree to each carrier’s Terms of Use, Conditions of Carriage and other Terms and Conditions.

For reference:

  1. FedEx’s Terms of Use are available at: http://www.fedex.com/us/legal/.
  2. Aramex’s Terms of Use are available at: https://www.aramex.com/terms.aspx.

We may add carriers in the future, and you agree to be bound by the Terms of Use of each carrier, whether or not their Terms of Use are referenced in this document. Each carrier partner may opt to change their Terms of Use at any time and you agree to these changes by use of the Simple Shipping service.

2. Seller Obligations

By using the Simple Shipping service, you agree to:

  1. Provide accurate shipping dimensions for your products

  2. Pick and pack your order in an appropriate manner for shipping globally

  3. Print out shipping documentation and invoices in multiple copies, as required by the carrier

  4. Be available together with your order for dispatch at your scheduled pickup time

You agree that you will not use the service to:

  1. Ship orders that have not been transacted via the JadoPado platform

  2. Carry out any illegal or prohibited activity

  3. Cause disrepute to JadoPado, the carrier or any other party

3. Cash on Delivery

Cash on Delivery may be available for some or all of your orders if you have enabled Cash on Delivery as a payment method. Click here to learn how to activate Cash on Delivery.

If you activate or have already activated Cash on Delivery as a payment method it will automatically be available for use with Simple Shipping. If you do not wish to accept Cash on Delivery for your orders, you will need to explicitly turn off Cash on Delivery as a payment method.

You acknowledge that there are inherent risks in shipping an order prior to having received payment and relying on Cash on Delivery as a payment method. This risk can increase significantly for cross border shipments. You may be liable for the cost of shipping, customs duties, taxes, return shipping, storage, demurrage, documentation fees and any other additional charges imposed by the carrier or by JadoPado for your order.

You acknowledge and accept the following risks when using Cash on Delivery with Simple Shipping;

  1. That the carrier may miss out on collecting your payment or collects an incorrect amount

  2. That the buyer chooses not to accept or pay for their order

  3. That the buyer pays the carrier in a different currency which may result in losses due to foreign exchange fluctuations

  4. That if your order is confiscated by customs authorities, you will have no recourse to recover your costs incurred

  5. That JadoPado will not be able to settle your Cash on Delivery with Simple Shipping orders until it has received and reconciled settlement from the carrier

While JadoPado and the carrier will aim to offer a highly reliable Cash on Delivery service, you acknowledge that this will be on a best effort basis. JadoPado will not be liable for performance, losses, costs or other fees or penalties.

4. Incorrect Weight and Dimensions

If the actual dimensional weight of your order exceeds the weight and dimensions of your offer, whether you have created the catalogue entry or opted to sell against an existing catalogue entry, you will be liable for additional charges imposed by the carrier or by JadoPado for your order.

5. Buyer Refusal

You acknowledge that using the service may carry the risk of the buyer refusing to accept the order or rejecting it at the time of delivery. You may be liable for customs duties and other charges depending on the situation:

a. Order Can be Returned

If a buyer refuses to accept an order when it is clearing customs or at the time of delivery, and if the order can be returned to you, the buyer will only be refunded the value of the order. The buyer will be liable for the cost of shipping, return shipping, customs duties, storage, demurrage, documentation fees and any other additional charges imposed by the carrier or by JadoPado for shipping the order to the buyer and for returning it back to you.

b. Order Cannot be Returned

If a buyer refuses to accept an order when it is clearing customs or at the time of delivery, and if the order cannot be returned to you, the buyer will be liable for the value of the order, the cost of shipping, customs duties, storage, demurrage, documentation fees and any other additional charges imposed by the carrier or by JadoPado for shipping the order to the buyer.

c. For Any Orders Paid for by Cash on Delivery

If a buyer refuses to accept an order when it is clearing customs or at the time of delivery, you will be liable for the value of the order, the cost of shipping, return shipping, customs duties, taxes, storage, demurrage, documentation fees and any other additional charges imposed by the carrier or by JadoPado for your order.

6. Return Requested

If an order is returned to you at your request, the carrier or JadoPado will impose a return shipping cost, and you may be liable for customs duties, taxes, storage, demurrage, documentation fees and any other additional charges.

7. Confiscated Shipments

You acknowledge that using the service may carry the risk of the order being confiscated by customs authorities at origin or destination. The carrier will attempt to release your order and return it to you on a best effort basis, but you also acknowledge that your order may not be released by customs authorities and may be destroyed. You may be liable for customs duties and other charges depending on the situation:

a. Confiscated at Origin

If your order is confiscated by customs authorities at origin and cannot be shipped to the buyer, the buyer will be reimbursed for the value of the order including shipping. You will be liable for the value of the order, the cost of shipping, customs duties, taxes, storage, demurrage, documentation fees and any other additional charges imposed by the carrier or by JadoPado for your order.

b. Confiscated at Destination

If your order is confiscated by customs authorities at destination and cannot be delivered to the buyer, you will receive the value of the order as payment for the order. The buyer will be liable for the value of the order, the cost of shipping, customs duties, storage, demurrage, documentation fees and any other additional charges imposed by the carrier or by JadoPado for shipping the order to the buyer.

c. For Any Orders Paid for by Cash on Delivery

If your order is confiscated by customs authorities at origin or destination and cannot be delivered to the buyer, you will not receive payment for the order. You will be liable for the value of the order, the cost of shipping, customs duties, taxes, storage, demurrage, documentation fees and any other additional charges imposed by the carrier or by JadoPado for your order.

8. Insurance, Lost or Stolen Shipments

JadoPado does not provide insurance coverage for your order. A carrier may have limited insurance coverage, that may or may not cover the full value of your order. If you may require additional coverage, we recommend that you insure your orders prior to shipment to the extent that you feel is appropriate.

In the unfortunate situation that your order is lost or stolen during transit, customs clearance or delivery, the buyer will be reimbursed for the value of the order including shipping. The carrier will attempt to locate your order and deliver it to the buyer or return it to you on a best effort basis. You acknowledge that your order may not be recovered. You will be liable for the cost of shipping, customs duties, taxes, return shipping, storage, demurrage, documentation fees and any other additional charges imposed by the carrier or by JadoPado for your order.

You agree that you will not ship illegal or prohibited products and will bear any costs, penalties or liability to the fullest extent permitted by law.

10. No Liability

JadoPado provides the Simple Shipping service on a best effort basis to connect sellers with carriers. JadoPado will not be liable for performance, losses, costs or other fees or penalties.

11. Misuse or Abuse of the Service

JadoPado will enforce strict monetary or other penalties for the misuse or abuse of the Simple Shipping service.

12. Amounts Due
